Renovation of a 75 sqm apartment in a building dating from 1939, in the Art Nouveau district of Cit Turin. The traditional spatial distribution involving an outdated division between living and dining area is reversed to take advantage of the double exposure. The corridor is transformed into a small gallery to display works of art. The sleeping area is directly connected to the shower through a ‘filter’ space used as a wardrobe/laundry room. The lights are carefully integrated with the architecture to achieve both diffuse and point-light environments whereas it becomes necessary to focus on the specific artwork.
